I would like to copy your notice for Vietnam Veterans about compensation for Agent Orange Exposure. I will also add a link back to your 1/61 pages on my website.

Comments about the web site: While assigned at Ft Polk, 74-76, I remember the battalion headquarters had a lot of historical stuff on display in the lobby. Does anyone know what became of the picture book, VC flag and other stuuf that was displayed at the 61st Inf batallion, FT Polk LA.? I visited the 61st at Ft Jackson, SC last year and no one there knew anything about the album or the other stuff from the war. There was a binder with narratives of the battles and pictures that accompied the stories. It got to be out there somewhere. I am sure it would fill in the gaps needed for this fine site.

Comments about the web site: Thank You so much for this page. I have been searching for Vietnam related stories in hopes of finding out a little more about My Dad's unit. His name was Dennis Wayne Ross and he was in 1st Brigade, 5th Infantry Division Mech. Red Diamond. He was killed in action on Nov. 12, 1969. His name was listed on you Tributes to the Fallen. Which meant alot to me. Its really nice to know that someone else out there really does care to remember. I would be happy to recieve emails from any one who may have known my father. I have been in touch with one man, Darrell Alexander who has helped me to understand some of it but I haven't wrote him for awhile. I hope he can forgive me. Again I say thank you, You are all my heroes! And even tho I don't know you personally you will always be in my heart and prayers! God bless and peace to all!

I still think of Dave Merrill (got an impression at Wall last year) & am trying to restore some rain damaged photos of him to post..Nice to see all the recon plt members who also remember. Comments about the web site: The site just keeps getting better and better all the time, thanks. And thanks for including the D 1/11 "Bushwackers" in the 2000 reunion pics. We appreciate being on such a fine site with another great unit (1/61) in the Red Devils. We worked so close and so well together on the DMZ and it's good to see we're still together after so many years. Great job !

Comments about the web site: Hello This is my second visit to this site and to leave a message. The last message I left was in July 2000. Again my dad was in vietnam, KIA Nov 12, 1969 Quang Tri, He was in A company 1st\61 1rst Brigade Fifth Infantry division mechanized. I have been in contact with my friend Darrell Alexander who was in vietnam with my dad, He is also searching for a friend who was a combat medic in vietnam possibly between 68-70 his name was Randy Herman and lived in New York City. I was at Tommy Dorseys Site and he gave me your site saying you could possibly help, I also visited Bruce Melsons site and he said same thing. They both have great sites as well as yours. When I spoke with my friend Darrell he told me of your site also said it was a great site! So You should be very proud of the fact your site is very popular. Any info you have would be great. Just know that I thank you for putting this site here for me to visit for a little connection with my dad. i was young when he died and these sites and chats with people who may have known him or at least experienced the same thing means alot and connects me to him in more ways than one. Thanks again, God Bless And Welcome Home!

Comments about the web site: I was with 1/61 Recon(9/70-4/71); a member of the LRRP teams. Was with the unit when Bullwinkle lost control of 13 and ran into the wall by the bridge at Quang Tri. Anyone remember the name of the Dog Handler or the Dog? What was Bulwinkle's real name? Love the site; the pictures of A4 and C2 bring back a lot of memories. I was also with A Co. 1/61 for a few weeks, then 77th Combat Trackers in Quang Tri.
