HELLO and Welcome Home.
My name is George Baldwin and I am on the membership
committee of the Society of the Fifth Division. I served in A Company, 7th Engineers in
VIETNAM and there I met some of the finest people I have ever known.
As you have seen in the 1/61 web site, the history of the units that
make up the 5th Division is long and glorious. Blood of its members has been
shed around the world by its soldiers. Many of us that once wore the Red
Diamond have joined together to preserve the history, the honor, and the
traditions of our unit. With annual Division reunions, a regular newsletter,
and our email data base, we continue the camaraderie that we found as part of the
Division.
All of this is a long winded way of asking you to join us. You will be
amazed at how many of your friends are already members. Just print out the
