From the air LZ Sharon looks like typical firebases all over Vietnam. SEA huts, a perimeter road and bunkers or watch towers along the perimeter. It has been the home, at one time or another, for most units of the 1/5. It was the home for 1/61 until they were assigned AO Orange as their permanent operations area.
