The Little Red Schoolhouse.
Well it's not red but it is the Primary School in Tazar, Hungary just a short distance outside Camp Freedom.
It even has a school crest but like so many schools it is short on resources. Youngsters that want to learn, are ready to learn but need help in learning. Serendipity. There is not much to do for 1/61 troops off duty. Too cold for softball, no basketball courts, drinking beer downtown is frowned upon and you can only watch so many movies. Adopt a school. Spend time with the children. Help them learn and learn yourself. The following pictures show what happened. Even some of the Iraqi students got into the act. I know no names but the smiling faces sure make it apparent to me that some good was done here.
