I do not know who this is or where the picture was taken. But the odds are I can make some good guesses.

Looks like the tail of an airplane to the right rear. Guess = Airport.

Jungle fatigues look new and sweated through even though he is sitting down. Has duffle bags along side and has both dog tags on neck chain. Guess = Just arrived in country.

Expression looks concerned. Guess = Butterflies in the stomach.

Put it all together and I say "Newbe". Nothing wrong with being a "Newbe", we all were once upon a time.

I just got the word. And I was not far off. This is a photo of Bill Timcheck at the airfield in Da Nang taken about 10 minutes after he arrived in country. Not to worry, only 353 more days but who is counting?
