Support for Ho Chi Min in his fight against the French, I can understand that. Support for the VC, if you believed they really were guerrilla fighters trying to overthrow a corrupt government, I can understand that. But to support an army that was clearly invading another country and that was locked in combat with US troops is really hard to comprehend. But of course I am not a Hollywood star and don't understand things as well as they do.
