When you enter the 1/61 Headquarters you see a display of 1/61 combat history. SKS, helmets from WW One, official old photos and the Tommy Dorris Award for the Outstanding NCO of the Year. And in the place of honor the 1/61 Colors, brought back from Vietnam and given to the Battalion by Col (R) Bernard Wheeler.
I am impressed.
