Training at Ft Polk has been going on for many years. On the ridge line is an old bunker left over from years ago. It was used by Artillery FOs for their own protection as they learned to adjust indirect fire.
And yes, that is the old M-2 .50 cal MG in the commander's hatch of a M-113. But who knows who's nose that is?
